How to use a VideoBook?
The VideoBook can be used like any other book. It has been specially designed to be handled without any technical knowledge. As soon as you go through the VideoBook and open a video page, the video starts to play. The volume can be adjusted using the buttons on the back cover. You can also pause the video with the middle button.
In which sizes is the VideoBook available?
Currently, VideoBook is only available in one size, but we plan to offer more formats in the future.
How big and heavy is the VideoBook?
The VideoBook is approximately 27.5 cm x 21.5 cm (height x width). The thickness and weight depends on the edition and the number of pages. However, a VideoBook Basic with 24 pages is about 4 cm thick and weighs roughly 1.5 kg. The weight is very similar to a normal photo book with the same configuration.
For how long can the VideoBook be used before it needs to be recharged?
The time before the VideoBook needs to be recharged depends on the usage time, i.e. how long and at what intervals videos are watched. The battery in the VideoBook can be compared to that of a large smartphone, which means that it is absolutely possible to watch videos in the VideoBook for several hours in a row. For us, it was important to make sure that you can use the VideoBook without limitations even during longer events like a big family event. However, please do not forget to charge the VideoBook regularly with the ChargingPad, as the VideoBook also discharges when it is not actively used for a longer period of time, but simply stays in the shelf.
Can I also charge the VideoBook with my equipment?
The VideoBook can basically be charged with any QI charger. However, it is important to ensure that the QI charger is positioned correctly on the VideoBook. To make this easier, we have developed the ChargingPad so that the VideoBook simply has to be placed on top of the ChargingPad. Any standard certified USB C cable and power adapter can be used to connect the ChargingPad to the power supply.
How durable is the VideoBook?
The VideoBook is a closed system that does not require software updates and therefore has no interface issues. Charging is wireless, which means there is no obsolete plug type on the VideoBook. Although we haven't done any 40-year field tests, we can assure you that all of our tests so far have been positive and that our oldest VideoBook still works today. Nevertheless, it should be noted that the VideoBook's battery - similar to a smartphone - loses capacity over time and the exact battery life depends on the frequency of use and other factors. That said, we've designed our VideoBook for maximum longevity with the help of an intelligent charging algorithm.
Is it possible to change the videos afterwards?
Currently this is not possible, but we are working on a feature that will also allow changing the videos afterwards. However, you should always ask yourself whether you really want to change the videos if the images in the VideoBook will always remain the same.
What can I do if my VideoBook does not work anymore?

How complex is it to create a VideoBook?
Creating a VideoBook is very similar to creating a photo book. You can simply upload all the photos and videos you want from your phone or other device and place them by Drag & Drop. With our matching themes for the most important occasions, you also have a template made by professional designers right away, which makes it even faster to create your VideoBook. How long can the videos be and what else should I bear in mind?
Each individual video in the VideoBook may be a maximum of 500 MB in size. The maximum video length depends on the resolution, for example. With HD resolution (recommended), each video is approx. 5-10 minutes long. In addition, videos must be in 16:9 format, in the same orientation as the display in the VideoBook. How do I convert the videos to the appropriate file format?

Where is the data for the videos stored?
We value the data protection of our customers very highly. Before creation, the data for the videos is processed in a GDPR-compliant manner on our own servers as well as on servers of our partners. You can find more information about this in our privacy policy. In the finished VideoBook, the data is then only stored locally on an SD card in the device itself.
Is it possible to save all relevant data to be able to order the product in the future?
Once a project is created and saved in your account, all corresponding data is stored for 45 days. After you have ordered and paid for a product, the data is stored in your customer account for a total of 400 days.
Warranty
As a company, we have mandatory warranty deeds towards our customers. This means that we have to ensure that our products are free of defects upon delivery and comply with the assured features. However, if defects should occur, we are at our customers' disposal and will try to fix them in a quick and uncomplicated way. We want our customers to be satisfied with their products delivered by us and we will do everything possible to provide them with a smooth and satisfying service.
Sustainability
Our VideoBooks are designed to be durable and are definitely not meant to be a single-use or throwaway product. After all, we want you to enjoy your VideoBook for a long time. To ensure this, every VideoBook is manufactured locally in Karlsruhe, Baden-Württemberg, Germany, directly in our facility. We make it a priority to ensure that our materials and processes are resource-efficiently selected and optimized. In addition, we actively promote a sustainable production to avoid waste products of any kind as much as possible. As an extra contribution to the environment, we also plant a tree for every VideoBook (and every other photo product such as Flush Mount Albums).
